The [second] best show ever made

Posted : 2 days, 6 hours ago on 1 July 2008 12:06 (A review of The Daily Show)

Well, as I previously said, I never give a 10/10 for anything.
So this will recieve a big fat nine from me.
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart mocks American Politics/and or anything that is American in such a way that it is hilarious. The ironic thing I found out about this that The Daily Show, starting in '96, recieved a 9.0 out of 10 in the indb.com rating. However, the Colber Report (the best show) which started a mere three years ago in 2005, recieved a 9.3/10. Stephen Colbert, as you may know, was a correspondent for Jon Stewart before he got his own show.

The best TV Programme out there.

Posted : 2 days, 6 hours ago on 1 July 2008 12:01 (A review of The Colbert Report)

I don't give 10/10 for anything.
But this is just the best show I have ever seen.
Stephen Colbert is just the most hilarious guy I've ever seen. He truly earns that Peabody award. Rain, you should be scared! Colbert will win. Eventually.
The "Sport Report" "Air Colbert" "Rain of course" "Wag of the Finger"
Are all just a portion of the reasons I adore this show.
Nation, watch this!

A little extract from my favorite ever Colbert Report:

Rain...Rain...Rain!
Time had a poll of the most influential peopel of 2006 and I'm right there at number 2?! Who's number 1?
No...it can't be...
My arch nemesis, hiphop pop sensation Rain!
He's always gotten the best of me!

Sydney, Sydney

Posted : 3 weeks, 2 days ago on 10 June 2008 01:39 (A review of Sydney White)

A typical, girly story.
Mother is dead. The daughter grows up in poor conditions with her father, and dreams.
"Rachel Witchburn: I'm the last person you wanna mess with.
Sydney White: No. You're the first."
---> this is a very common 'I'm the girl who's gonna win in the end' sorta thing that happens in all the movies.

"Things are looking grim, brothers"
-->this implies the Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Trivia; it was origianally called "Sydney White and teh Seven Dorks"

A good film, but too predictable.

The Other...

Posted : 3 weeks, 2 days ago on 10 June 2008 01:32 (A review of The Other Boleyn Girl)

I have to say that a brilliant cast.
Scarlett Johanson, Natalie Portman, Kristen Scott-Thomas, Eric Bana.
This has got to equal a great film, correct?
Well, I have to say, that's wrong.
This movie was...terrible. I can't say it other-wise.
The fact that the girl and her brother were hanged because of what they did is just dreadful. This is not a good plot; why would they have that spun in?
I have to say that that just grossed me out.

Overall, dissapointing, bad plot, old language not even used good, and boring.

What Happens...

Posted : 3 weeks, 2 days ago on 10 June 2008 01:28 (A review of What Happens in Vegas...)

" Mason: [after being punched] Why?
Tipper: You know why! "

My favorite quote. This made me laugh so much...it was worth it.
Tipper is the best character in this movie. Her and Hater are hilarious together. Those things they say to each other are hilarious.
The plot is okay, it's funny at times, but those side jokes are the best.
Overall, a quite good film. I was surprised, because, honestly, I was expecting another "Fool's Gold", but this was so much more funny.
A must see in the summer.

Review of 21

Posted : 3 weeks, 2 days ago on 10 June 2008 01:22 (A review of 21)

"Kianna: Dude, I lost track 20 cards ago.
Micky Rosa: Don't call me dude."

I really liked this film. I couldn't get the catch of it at the beginning; it took a little time to understand the counting part. But the actors, great, the plot, great.
The only problem I had with this film was Laurence Fishborne. Who cast him? I remember him from Akeelah and the Bee, and he ruined that too.
Kevin Spacey great in this one.

My favorite character was Choi though, played by Aaron Yoo (who also mastered "Disturbia"). He gave the best performance in my opinion.

Girl, Interrupted

Posted : 1 month, 2 weeks ago on 20 May 2008 10:41 (A review of Girl, Interrupted)

This film is very thought-provoking. Once again I have to say that I have never seen anything quite like this before. The beginning starts off quite scary-her wrists are bruised severely, she's quite out of control-but as we diverge into this we find a troubled girl, who doesn't really find her place.
Lisa is a very interesting character, and Daisy is too.
I liked this movie. But I didn't...it's a very interesting one.

Superbad

Posted : 1 month, 2 weeks ago on 20 May 2008 10:33 (A review of Superbad)

Super bad?
Nah. Although the dialogue was too rough. Kids don't speak like that in high school.
The plot?
Not really there. Though there were funny outcomes (Evan singing).
McLovin'?
Hilarious. His ID card is just real funny.
A must-see?
Well, if you're a teenager, then maybe. Otherwise no.

Wheel of Fortune

Posted : 1 month, 2 weeks ago on 19 May 2008 12:38 (A review of Wheel of Fortune)

Wheel. Of Fortune [crowd goes wild]

Basically, someone spins that wheel, say "big money!" a coupla times. It's not luck at all. It's brain, which most of these contestants do not own, most unfortunately. Although today someone guessed the final clue; "native of chicago" correct. And won a BMW.

Breakfast at Tiffany's

Posted : 1 month, 2 weeks ago on 19 May 2008 12:22 (A review of Breakfast at Tiffany's (Special Aniversary Collector's Edition))

This is the best Audrey movie. It's a classic. People seem to forget how great she really was, and this was portrayed in her movies.
It has some very nice extra features, but I liked the movie the best. I am not a collecter for any special aniversaries, but maybe I should become a collecter for Audrey movies?
